technical notes

Vineyard & Grapes: 100% of Château Mukhrani vineyards. Manually pruned with canopy management. Crop size is also controlled by pruning and if needed by so called “Green Harvest”.

Yield: average 10 T/ha, equivalent to 65-70 Hl/ha

Method of harvest: Selective hand picking to enable the highest quality of fruit

Vinification: Grapes are transferred into vibrating reception bins and then moved on an extremely gentle conveyor belt to the crusher. De-stemmed and immediate chilling of the must at 5 to 6°C whilst being transferred for crushing under strict inert ambient gas with in-line injection as well as inert conditions in the tank space. Free run separation and juice settling in a temperature controlled environment. Decanted. Wild fermentation of clear juice at 14 to 15°C. Elevage by means of «Sur Lie». Style, balance and preparation for bottling. Bottling is done under the highest standards protecting the wine from all possibilities for quality issues.

Colour is straw to light golden with a green tinge. The bouquet is of rich and elegant tropical aromas. Vibrant but a soft fruity taste with crisp acidity. Intriguing length on the palate with a refreshing finish.

100% Chardonnay. Wine made from this well known varietal is grown at the Mukhrani Estates, Georgia.

This wine is best enjoyed with poultry and fish. It is also charming with crisp salads.
